Lewis & Wood Fabric

Lewis & Wood Fabric

Founded in 1993 by textile printer Stephen Lewis and London decorator Joanna Wood, Lewis & Wood has spent over three decades building one of the most distinctive fabric ranges in British design. The driving principle has always been the same — a determination to be different, to produce original work that feels carefully crafted rather than mass-produced, and to celebrate homegrown talent at every stage.

All fabrics are designed and printed in-house at their mill in Woodchester, Gloucestershire, in collaboration with a carefully chosen group of freelance designers and artists from a wide range of disciplines. The result is a range with genuine breadth and character — from bold botanical prints and tribal-inspired designs to delicate sprigs, folk art motifs and archive-sourced Georgian patterns — all with the sense of individuality that has made Lewis & Wood fabric a consistent favourite in both country houses and contemporary interiors alike.

Wide-width linen is a hallmark of the range, allowing patterns to breathe and making it particularly well suited to generous curtains and soft furnishings. A British original, and consistently worth exploring.
