Botanical Wall Murals
A botanical mural is about the plant itself: stems, leaves, branches and trees drawn large enough to fill a wall. The effect is calm and fresh, bringing a sense of the garden indoors, and it suits a bedroom, a living room or a garden room where a whole scene works better than a small pattern.
Sandberg lead the way here. Villa Como is a sun-drenched collection of lush botanicals inspired by Lake Como, and Herbarium turns fragments of botanical discovery into expressive, richly detailed designs, both sold by the square metre. Coordonné's Random Metallics II includes Woods, slender bare trees and fine spring leaves in gold, quiet in the manner of a Japanese screen. Origin Murals offer beautifully illustrated designs such as Cascading Rosehip, with rose heads and thorny foliage weaving down the wall, and Galerie's Welcome Home Murals include hanging eucalyptus and cascading vines.
Arte's Décors & Panoramiques has Bird of Paradise, enlarged hand-painted leaves with a fine linen-effect finish.
