Silk Fabric
Silk has a lustre and a drape entirely its own, catching the light along every fold. It brings a quiet richness to a room, whether as a full length curtain, a cushion or a small accent in a scheme of matte linens and wools. Silk is best kept for curtains and cushions rather than hard-worn upholstery. It is a delicate fibre in strong sunlight, so a lining helps protect curtains at a bright window, and professional cleaning is usually the safest route.
