Brand McKenzie is not an old institution but two people. Richard Brand and Kerry McKenzie put their surnames over the door when they founded the studio on eighteen years' combined experience in interiors, and their ambition is disarmingly simple: to coax people into being braver with their walls. Everything is designed and made in Britain with a team of British artists, and printed to order, and the designs are less patterns than scenes, hand-drawn worlds full of characters that reward a second and a third look.

Our bestselling collection is Heart Deco, which takes its cue from the glitz and glamour of the 1920s and 1930s, drawing on the buildings, fashion, plants and animals of the Art Deco era with modern twists. Close behind is Carnival Fever, a collection of whimsical, maximalist prints with animals drinking at bars, funfair scenes, cheeky monkeys and carousels, and Wild Life, where every design tells its own story and the line between reality and fantasy fades.

The newest arrival is Viva Vintage, storytelling wallpaper at its most exuberant: ten designs peopled almost entirely by impeccably dressed animals, with dogs dealing cards in a velvet casino, crabs celebrating under decorative archways and a whole circus balancing on high wires above the clouds. Groove Inferno draws on exotic landscapes, musical rhythms and playful storytelling, with cosmic discos and cocktail-hour decadence among its colourful scenes.

It all began with Tropical Daze, the studio's debut collection, a bold journey to mystical islands, magical jungles and serene landscapes filled with hand-drawn animals, insects and foliage. Paper Paradise gathers ten eclectic designs that capture cherished moments, from basking in the Mediterranean sun onwards. For something smaller than a whole wall, Framed Art Prints brings favourite characters from Happy Hour, Balancing Act, Punk Rocks and Fine China into circular frames, in 44cm, 70cm and 96cm sizes.
