Good to know

How much fabric do I need?

It depends on the window or furniture and on the pattern repeat, which is given on every product page. Your curtain maker or upholsterer will give you an exact figure; order it all at once so it comes from the same batch and arrives as one continuous length.

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Most fabrics have a sample, and up to 6 samples are delivered free. Samples show the colour and the weave, though not always the full pattern repeat.

Can fabric be returned?

Fabric is cut to order for you, so it can't be cancelled or returned. That's why we always suggest ordering a sample first.

How long will delivery take?

Every product page shows its own delivery time and an estimated arrival date. Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over £100; Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands are charged at checkout.

Do you offer trade accounts?

Embroidered fabric gives a design real relief, the stitch sitting proud of the cloth behind it. It is lovely where the light rakes across the surface and picks out the detail, and it lends even a simple motif a handmade, crafted quality.

Scion lead with Oakham. Oakham Embroidery is a large-scale stripe inspired by the river edge near Scion's design studio, and Swithland sets a rik rak within a trellis for a soft, quilted look. Harlequin offer Zamora, a modern Jacobean-style embroidery with large leafy heads on cotton-linen, alongside Cintilla, a printed ikat punctuated with an embroidered stripe.

Clarke & Clarke have a deep range. Origins covers embroidered florals, stripes and trellises, Prince of Persia stitches trees onto pure cotton, and William Morris Weaves includes Strawberry Thief Embroidery, rescaled smaller for a more intricate look. Sanderson bring detailed embroidery to a sheer in Sanderson Sheers, where Sea Thrift is interpreted in the Indienne style, and Morris & Co stitch onto velvet in Wardle Velvets.
