A remarkable piece of design archaeology. Anno II is a collection of 44 historical wallpapers dating from 1700 to 1930, painstakingly recreated from preserved printing rollers and original wallpaper fragments, including a reprint of Sweden's oldest known printed paper wallpaper.
The collection opens the doors to grand castle halls, rural Swedish homes and museum archives, drawing on styles that range from sumptuous Baroque gilded leather and delicate Rococo palettes through to ornate Jugendstil florals. Original patterns have been redrawn by hand and surface printed in the traditional way, preserving the character and imperfections that make each design feel genuinely historic.
