How many rolls do I need?

Use the wallpaper calculator, or "How many rolls do I need?" on any product page, which allows for the pattern repeat. Order all your rolls together so they come from the same batch.

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Most papers have a sample, usually A4, and up to 6 samples are delivered free. A sample is the best way to check colour and texture in your own room.

Why does the batch number matter?

Rolls from different production batches can vary slightly in shade. Rolls ordered together always come from one batch; if you're topping up an earlier order, add its batch number on the product page and we'll match it.

Can I return wallpaper?

Most unused rolls can be returned: tell us within 14 days of delivery and send them back within 30. Some brands charge a 25% restocking fee on returns made after 14 days. Papers that are printed or made to order, and murals, can't be returned. Each product page tells you which applies.

How long will delivery take?

Every product page shows its own delivery time and an estimated arrival date. Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over £100; Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands are charged at checkout.

Do you offer trade accounts?

Yes, for interior designers, decorators and commercial projects. Find out about trade accounts.

Manuel Canovas Wallpaper

Manuel Canovas founded his Paris textile house in 1963 with a debut collection of large scale patterns in bold, striking colour combinations, a real departure from the restrained furnishing trends of the time. Trained in art and archaeology at the École du Louvre and the École des Beaux-Arts, he drew on archival documents and travels to India, Japan and beyond, and the house still works in that spirit today. Canovas sold the house to The Colefax Group in 1998, and the Manuel Canovas studio continues to produce his bold, travel inspired scenes.

The bestselling collection is Papier Peints - Vol 7, a showcase of everything the house does well. Geishas follows young women in colourful kimonos through a Japanese garden in Kyoto, Salvator is a monochrome jungle scene of monkeys, wading birds and leopards stalking through lush vegetation, and Morny is a tropical vista of trees and palms, dense enough to disappear into. Côte d'Azur offers an all over design of palms, leaves, seeds and trees, while Florida and Salengro bring the palm leaf to a smaller, more everyday scale.

The newest collection is Balangan, drawn by hand in the Canovas studio. Its toiles are particularly charming: Pondichéry is set in the gardens of a grand Indian palace, with musicians, horse riders and exotic animals, and Nara is a Japanese toile of pagodas, flying cranes and young women fishing. The title design, Balangan, is a feature of tropical fruits, among them the durian, carambola and pineapple.

Earlier volumes show the same playful curiosity. Papier Peints - Vol 5 includes colourful hot air balloons, oriental style crockery, shelves full of curios and a classic stripe of framed coral, and Papier Peints - Vol 6 moves from Chinese bags and butterfly collectables to Parisian scenes, tropical leaves and the sea bed.

These are papers for people who love a big motif, and they sit naturally beside our toile wallpaper, tropical wallpaper and maximalist wallpaper edits. To learn more about the man and the house, read our guide, The Man Who Never Did Small Patterns.
