Galerie Wallpaper
Founded in Tonbridge, Kent in 1990, Galerie works less as a single design house and more as a curator. Rather than keeping to one look, it commissions and imports from specialist manufacturers across Europe, bringing well over a hundred collections together under one name, which is why there is a Galerie paper for almost every room and every budget.
The bestseller is Loft 2, whose industrial textures, sisal-effect herringbones and bricks read convincingly like the real thing. Welcome Home mixes geometrics, florals and textured plains in a warm palette, and Off the Wall is Galerie's collaboration with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, drawing on his love of art. For quieter walls, The New Textures Book, Natural FX 2 and Shades of Colour offer plains and semi-plains that suit modern and classic rooms alike.
Classic tastes are well served too. Italian Silks and Damasks and Simply Silks 4 bring damasks, stripes and silk effects lifted with metallic detail, while Rose Garden gathers country leaf and floral trails, stripes and plaids, and Small Prints offers delicate motifs and miniature botanicals. Classic Silks 4 adds formal damasks and embossed stripes with shimmering finishes, Pretty Prints charming vintage floral trails on durable vinyl, and Miniatures 3 delicate small-scale trails, sprigs and blossoms.
The newest arrivals include Blooming Garden, with trailing florals and soft botanicals, Havana 2, inspired by the sun-warmed hues of the Cuban capital, and the calm, cosy Hygge Home and Cosmo Living. For children's rooms, look to Tiny Tots 2, Little Explorers 2 and the new Kids and Teens.
