Asian Influence Wallpaper
Asian influence wallpaper draws on Chinese, Japanese and wider East Asian decorative traditions: cherry blossom, cranes stepping through water, bamboo, wisteria, pagodas and painted landscapes. The mood is calm and considered, which makes these designs a lovely choice for a bedroom or a sitting room where you want to slow down.
Ohpopsi's Hanashi collection is a fine example, with Kansho's cranes stepping through rippling shallow water and Oka's rolling hills dotted with willows, boats and pagodas. Galerie's Spring Blossom and Kumano bring a Japanese inspired stillness, and Casadeco's Kyoto continues the theme.
From the English houses, Sanderson's Water Garden includes Crane & Frog, taken from a beautiful painted silk, and Colefax and Fowler's Seraphina, in the Ashdown collection, has dreamy wisteria tresses printed with an elegant Japanese feel. Thibaut's Yutori Wallpaper Collection and Coordonné's Forbidden City broaden the choice further.
