How to measure your walls
- Measure each wall separately. Use a tape measure along the bottom of the wall, from one corner to the other. Write each wall down on its own.
- Measure the whole wall, including doors and windows. Don't measure around them. You take them off in step 4.
- Measure the height from the top of the skirting board to the ceiling (or to the coving, if you have it). If the height varies, use the tallest point.
- Doors and windows: measure the width and height of each one you'll paper around.
- Only include walls you're papering. For a feature wall, that's just the one wall.
Measure in metres, for example 3.45 for three metres and forty-five centimetres. If you're unsure, measure twice.

Pimpernel is a wonderful all-over wallpaper, designed by William Morris in 1876 and chosen by him for his own dining room at Kelmscott Manor. Large stylised tulips and their curling leaves entwine with smaller pimpernel flowers in swirling rhythms. Shown here in the Indigo / Hemp colourway.
