Floral Wallpaper
Floral wallpaper is the pattern that never goes out of favour, and the range here runs from the daintiest sprigs and trailing stems to blowsy, generous blooms. A small floral is easy to live with on all four walls of a bedroom or hallway, while a larger print makes a lovely feature behind a bed or a sofa.
The heritage houses lead the way. Morris & Co's Archive holds Pimpernel, designed in 1876 and used in William Morris's own dining room at Kelmscott House, alongside Marigold and J.H. Dearle's Golden Lily, while Morris & Friends brings back Honeysuckle & Tulip. Laura Ashley's Uffington Roses is a charming classic of roses, peonies and foliage, and Belgravia's Carmella and Florence are traditional sprig and leaf designs that suit a whole room. For pretty, cottage-style repeats, Galerie's Pretty Prints is a delight.
If you prefer something more contemporary, browse modern floral wallpaper, or the dramatic scale of oversized florals. Where leaf and stem take over from the flower, botanical wallpaper is the place to look.
You can also shop by colour, from green florals and blue florals to pink florals and quieter neutral florals, and pair a paper with coordinating floral fabric. For more ideas, read The Case for Floral Wallpaper on Decorating Notes.
