Last week, we had the opportunity to attend Focus/25 at the Design Centre in London - one of the most exciting dates in the interiors calendar. We were kindly invited by our wonderful Sanderson Group account manager, Sarah, to preview the new Autumn/Winter 2025 launches across their brands: Harlequin, Scion, Clarke & Clarke, Sanderson, and of course - Morris & Co.
The highlight of the day? The unveiling of The Unfinished Works - a stunning new collaboration between Morris & Co. and The Huntington Library in California.
It was a day of creativity, conversation, and colour - and we were lucky enough to sit front row.
A Warm Welcome at Chelsea Harbour
As we stepped through the entrance of the Design Centre, there was an immediate buzz in the air. Autumnal flowers flanked the doorways, and familiar faces from across the industry gathered with notebooks, tote bags, and takeaway coffees in hand.
We were greeted with warm smiles, familiar names, and a flurry of colour - from wallpapered vignettes to rows of freshly launched fabric samples.

A First Look at the AW25 Collections
Before the main presentation, we explored the newly styled showrooms, including Clarke & Clarke’s latest displays and Sanderson’s elegant seasonal palettes. The entire space was full of pattern and possibility.
In the Morris & Co. showroom, a curated archive of heritage designs met modern reinterpretations. Layer upon layer of fabric, wallpaper and artwork revealed just how rich this design house’s story really is.

The Unfinished Works: Morris & Co. × The Huntington
At 2:30pm sharp, we took our seats for the official presentation - front row, of course.
The team at Morris & Co. introduced The Unfinished Works, a collection brought to life from unseen sketches by William Morris and John Henry Dearle.
These delicate, previously archived designs were uncovered in collaboration with The Huntington Library in California, which houses an extraordinary collection of Morris & Co. works. What followed was a deep dive into the creative process - from rediscovery to reinterpretation - led by Claire Vallis, Design Director at Sanderson Design Group.
“We hope William Morris and J. H. Dearle would be proud that we’ve followed the design trail they set out, bringing these designs to life as a creative team spread over the centuries. The Co. in Morris & Co. is alive and well in The Unfinished Works.”
— Jess Clayworth, Lead Designer, Morris & Co.

Behind the Scenes with the Sanderson Team
The day also gave us the chance to speak with the brilliant minds behind these collections. Sarah, our account manager, was a wonderful guide throughout the day - and it was so special to share the showroom floor with the very team who supports our business every day.
There were so many standout moments - from new colourways in classic Morris motifs, to bold printed florals and delicate hand-embroidered linens.

More to Come…

Before we wrapped up the day, we also had the pleasure of visiting the GP&J Baker showroom - and catching up with our lovely contact Kate, who gave us a sneak peek into what’s coming next.
The space was rich with new prints, luxurious textiles, and signature British elegance. True to the GP&J Baker aesthetic, the displays struck a beautiful balance between heritage and modernity. It was clear that something special is on the horizon - and we can’t wait to share more with you.

Our visit to Focus/25 was a true celebration of design heritage and innovation. From uncovering Morris & Co.'s archival artistry to previewing what's next from GP&J Baker, the experience left us inspired and full of ideas. We’re excited to bring these collections to our customers and can’t wait to share more from the Sanderson Group in the coming weeks.
